Notes of Thanks
Dear Brothers and Sisters of Advent: Growing
up in my family, one of our prayers included a partial quotation from scripture
which said, “You (God) open your hands and satisfy the desire of every living
thing.” Reality, however, clearly reveals that not all desires for education
opportunities or even food and lodging are satisfied. The Good Samaritan saw the
robbed victim, deprived of his resources by crime. The Samaritan stopped and
helped and provided what was needed. By your gifts you are the Good Samaritan.
Thank you for your gift to the Florida Bahamas Companion Synod Program. David R.
Bergstresser.
Thank you for your generous support of Lutheran Social Services. With your help
we can serve even more people in need. LSS
Dear Friends: We thank you for your donation to the Lighthouse Learning Center,
our educational and therapeutic pre-school for children with disabilities from
ages 14 months through 5 years. Challenge Enterprises supports a variety of
programs that provide pre-education, employment training, job placement,
residential service and recreation for children and adults who live with
disabilities. Nancy
Thank you for the many prayers and offers of condolence on the death of Toni’s
mother. We give thanks for the many blessings she gave to our lives and to our
children and their children. The sign in front of the First Baptist church on
Kingsley reads, “Christians never say good-bye for the last time”. Pastor
