Property Board
Many Hands Make the Job Easier
Don’t forget the third Saturday of each month (Sept 20th) is a church work day.
Breakfast is at 7:30 followed by projects from 8 a.m. until about noon. The more
who help the more can be done to maintain and improve our church facility
Do you ever wonder how our Property is
maintained?
Do you ever have ideas about how to improve our property?
Do you ever wish we had more space or vehicles? Do you enjoy planning and
working with you hands?
An
essential ministry carried on here at Advent is maintaining and improving our
facilities. The Property Board protects and maintains all property of the
congregation, making sure our property stays in good repair and is adequately
insured. Currently, we have a
few people working very hard to keep up with the maintenance needs of our
property. Yet, what we really need is a larger team to spread out the
responsibility and ease the work load. Landscaping and maintaining the grounds,
keeping abreast of our needs for maintenance on our building, and evaluating our
vehicular needs while keeping a record of maintenance on our vehicles are all
ministry opportunities available. Common sense and a little life experience
are
the only gifts needed for men and women who desire to serve our congregation in
this very hands on way. Work delayed is work multiplied, but work done timely
and well is work done joyfully in the Lord’s service.
When we have a full and active Property
Board, our facilities are well maintained and functional. This enables other
parts of our ministry to run smoothly. When we take pride in our property, it is
a reflection of our desire to serve the Lord actively and faithfully.
