Christian Education

Christian Education provides continuing Christian Education programs for members of all ages.

Recommend curriculum and maintain educational programs for ages 3 through grade 6. Appoint a Sunday School Secretary to coordinate Rally Day, be responsible for the requisition of supplies and materials needed for Sunday School, keep record of attendance, assist teachers in curriculum and procedures, annually purchase and present Bibles for third grade and pre-confirmation students. Coordinate Vacation Bible School. Maintain a cradle roll for children baptized at Advent. Communications should be sent twice a year to all children and their families, from birth to three years of age. In coordination with the Pastor, adopt a curriculum to be used for 7th and 8th grade students who will prepare for their Affirmation of Faith (confirmation). Supervise the spiritual growth programs for the education of high school, young adults, and adults. Recommend and assist in developing and promoting retreats for men, women, families, couples, or special interest groups including Via de Cristo. Maintain the library and audiovisual aids available through the church library.
