At Advent Lutheran Church, Christian Education is a vital part of our mission to nurture disciples of Jesus Christ throughout every stage of life. Rooted in Scripture and guided by the teachings of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), we believe that faith is formed through a lifelong journey of learning, worship, service, and community.

Our Christian Education Ministry seeks to provide meaningful opportunities for children, youth, and families to grow in their understanding of God's love and grace. The Christian Education Board prayerfully selects age-appropriate, biblically based curriculum that encourages curiosity, builds a strong foundation of faith, and connects God's Word to everyday life.

In addition to overseeing our educational programs, the Christian Education Board supports and coordinates many important milestones in the faith journey of our young people. This includes preparing students for Confirmation, assisting families as they prepare for Holy Baptism, and providing training for acolytes as they learn to serve in worship with reverence and confidence.

Our goal is not simply to teach Bible stories, but to help individuals develop a lasting relationship with Jesus Christ, grow in their understanding of Lutheran theology, and become active participants in the life and ministry of the Church. Through faithful teaching, caring relationships, and opportunities to serve, Christian Education helps equip God's people to live out their faith both within the congregation and in the world.

At Advent, we believe that Christian Education is a shared ministry—partnering with parents, grandparents, sponsors, and the entire congregation to encourage one another as we continue growing in faith, hope, and love.
