Pastor Larry believes that “discipleship” is a verb. To believe in Christ is to be in motion in our churches, in our communities, and in our world. In addition to the Sacraments, one of the most powerful activities in which we can participate is prayer. It is here that we connect with God and become closer to our Creator. It is also through our hands that we experience Jesus Christ as we use them to help others in need. He believes that together we can make a difference in the world!

Sarah Carroll has been a Ministry Assistant here with us since July 2025. A mother to two wonderful boys, Sarah has served in youth/children/adult ministry roles in the Jacksonville location for over a decade. We are happy to have Sarah as our Church Secretary/Minister's Assistant!
Martha Morrow joined us in November of 2019. She has been in the education system for 40 years as a preschool teacher, an elementary teacher, Dean of Students for grades PK3- 8th grade and a Preschool Director. She has been married for 40 years and has two married sons and 1 grandson. Martha enjoys spending time with her family on annual trips to the Florida Keys and on the river.
Joanna Corbett is Advent’s Worship Musician for the 8:00 A.M. traditional service. She has a lifetime of experiencing and sharing the joys of music through the Church. Joanna actively plays, as well as teaches piano, organ, and handbells in the community. A true musician, Joanna brings a high level of artistry to our liturgical worship service. Joanna’s creativity and talent extend further to what she calls, “The joys of color.” She likes to grow flowers and create floral arrangements, and she works with fabrics, pencils, pens, paints and paper to create Mixed Media art. In addition, Joanna’s life emphasizes, “The joys of family, friends, books and solitude.”
Peter Reideler has been a professional musician, both as a performer and an instructor, since he was fifteen years old. He spent many years touring and working as a solo performer, as well as with ensembles. Peter has led worship and praise teams for over twenty years and enjoys leading contemporary service at Advent. When not performing he enjoys his dogs, boating, antiquing and spending time with his family.
